Barnes VOR-TX TSX Rifle Ammunition

The Barnes VOR-TX 28 Nosler features a newly engineered TSX bullet, purpose-built from the ground up to optimize performance in this specific cartridge. While many users may expect a tipped projectile, Barnes selected a non-tipped TSX design to achieve maximum bullet weight while ensuring reliable stabilization in the SAAMI-standard 1:9 twist rate-a critical consideration for long-range accuracy. This isn't a traditional TSX. It incorporates a long boattail, a sleek ogive, and a reduced meplat diameter, resulting in a highly aerodynamic profile and an impressive G1 ballistic coefficient of .486. Beyond its refined external shape, the bullet's internal cavity has been redesigned to deliver consistent and aggressive expansion-even at extended ranges that traditional TSX bullets weren't originally designed to address.By choosing this advanced TSX configuration, Barnes has created a projectile that fully leverages the 28 Nosler's ballistic potential while overcoming the limitations of twist rate and long-range expansion. It's a modern solution tailored for precision, power, and terminal performance. These all-copper bullets provide destructive power, double-diameter expansion, maximum weight retention, and devastating energy transfer - all with excellent accuracy.
