The gas key is 4130 steel, secured with Grade 8 hardware and staked in a milled valley. The bolt is CNC-ground from 9310 case-hardened steel, shot-peened and Black Nitride finished for high fatigue life and strength. The group uses a hardened 4340 cam pin and an 8740 Mil-Spec firing pin that is centerless ground and hard chrome coated. Extractor is 4340 steel with a Mil-Spec spring and O-ring combo and receives manganese phosphate protection on contact surfaces.
