This advanced process allows for a thinner, lighter profile while maintaining superior ballistic performance.Each plate includes a durable, water-resistant base coating for longevity and corrosion resistance (note: the base coat does not mitigate fragmentation). This Kevlar-wrapped configuration adds a Kevlar-lined spall and fragmentation containment layer, helping to capture secondary fragmentation and enhance overall safety-strongly recommended for steel armor systems.All Predator Armor plates are independently tested and certified to NIJ 0101.06 standards by NTS-Chesapeake, an NIJ-approved laboratory accredited by NVLAP and A2LA (ISO 17025).
